Job summary

DECCO Postharvest in Visalia, CA is seeking a Service & Industrial Technician to maintain equipment, optimize performance, and support multiple departments. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude and frequent customer interaction within DECCO operations and customer sites.

The incumbent will design and improve control systems, install and troubleshoot PLCs and sensors, and collaborate with service and commercial teams.

Qualifications

BS degree in a relevant STEM field or 3 years of technical experience with training/certificates.
Professional communication skills.
Valid Driver's License.
Experience with electrical, PLC use, and control panel design.
Experience installing and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical systems.
Ability to read CAD drawings and electrical diagrams.
Strong written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

Design, install, maintain, and optimize DECCO control systems including PLCs and panels.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment; read blueprints and diagrams.
Provide field service support at customer sites; travel 1–6 hours/day.
Train service technicians and develop training materials.
Support onboarding and knowledge transfer.
Ensure accurate maintenance records.
Collaborate with teams and manage inventory.
