Job summary

DECCO Postharvest is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Technician to advance automation and continuous improvement across offices, workshops, and customer sites. The role involves hands-on operation to ensure proper function of control systems for DECCO products and services.

The position requires designing, installing, and troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs, calibrating instrumentation, and maintaining industrial networks.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent in Electrical Tech / Automation.
Minimum 2 years in industrial automation or related work.
Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose with test equipment.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, install, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and automated control systems.
Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot process instrumentation.
Install and maintain electrical wiring and industrial networks; support Ethernet/IP, Modbus.
Lead project execution from installation through commissioning; provide training and create user manuals.
Follow safety procedures and maintain organized work area.
