Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Field Service professional to support the performance of large-scale papermaking equipment across North America. You will provide customer support of control systems and lead on-site repair and preventive maintenance, ensuring optimal system performance.

The role requires PLC programming knowledge (Rockwell) and strong troubleshooting abilities, with travel to customer sites in the US, Mexico and Canada.

Qualifications

• Two- or four-year degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Controls Engineering or related field.
• Three to five years experience in a technical role within the papermaking industry or a related field.
• Understanding of PLC programming with knowledge of Rockwell software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support of control systems and optimization of their functions.
• Lead and perform on-site repair or preventive maintenance services at customer sites in accordance with contracts.
• Troubleshooting of programming and software related issues.
• Generate customer-focused, high quality field reports with strong recommendations for improvement.
