Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of electrical experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Understand NEC/AHJ and utility interconnection requirements.
• Able to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Experience using electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
• Willingness to travel locally and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar panels, inverters, batteries, generators, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance: cleaning panels, wiring inspections, inverter testing, battery health checks.
• Commission new systems and upgrades per NEC, AHJ, and utility requirements.
• Use diagnostic tools like multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal imaging.
• Maintain accurate service records and photos.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE, lockout/tagout, and fall protection.
• Respond to emergency service calls and warranty repairs as needed.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners about system status and recommendations.
• Represent Otovo professionally at customer sites.
