Qualifications

• Experience using electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops; comfortable outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel locally and work overtime as needed.
• State-required electrical certification or license (Journeyman, Wireman, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar panels, inverters, batteries, generators, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance including panel cleaning, wiring inspections, inverter testing, and battery health assessments.
• Commission new systems and upgrades while ensuring NEC, AHJ, and utility compliance.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal imaging equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and photo documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures including PPE usage, lockout/tagout, and fall protection.
• Respond to emergency service calls and warranty-related repairs.
• Communicate with homeowners and customers regarding system status and recommendations.
• Represent Otovo professionally at customer sites.
