Job summary

Tri City Glass & Door Inc is hiring a Service Installer to safely install and repair glass products, hardware, and electronics across sites in the region. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required. Expect to work indoors and outdoors with travel to various sites as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, precise installation, and strong communication with customers and the scheduling team to meet service deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate power tools.
• Previous construction/residential experience, plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools, tape measures, levels, power tools, etc.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces.
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or scaffolding.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and problem-solve.
• Ability to work out of town overnight, occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair door hardware, locks, rekeying, automatic operators, automatic sliding doors, and electronics.
• Read and understand work orders, shop drawings, and architectural plans.
• Discuss and review customer orders to ensure materials needed are available.
• Fulfill work orders to satisfy customer service requirements.
• Communicate with customers onsite and/or scheduling team about delays or early arrivals.
• Measure, cut, and fabricate accurately while installing materials in the field.
