Job summary

YES Prep Public Schools is seeking a Field Services Technician in Houston, TX. This role provides hands-on and remote technical support to staff and students, diagnosing hardware and software issues and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure reliable technology.

The position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma, 1+ year in information systems and helpdesk support, and the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• At least 1 year of hands-on information systems experience.
• At least 1 year of hands-on helpdesk, deskside, and remote support experience with a strong customer support emphasis.
• Fundamental working knowledge of relevant software, hardware, and other equipment.
• Ability to travel 30% of the time to YES Prep campuses.
• Strong customer service and written communication skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical requests via telephone, email, instant messaging, ticketing system and other means.
• Meet defined ticketing system metrics for SLAs, response time, resolution time, and reopen rate.
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, remotely or on-site.
• Provide staff development in technology and advise users on actions.
