REIC Rentals is hiring a Field Service Technician to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a diverse rental fleet. The role covers work in the Morgantown shop and field sites, with travel to oilfield, construction, and industrial environments.

You’ll read schematics, service gas/diesel systems, and train operators while upholding safety standards. A CDL is a plus; veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field technician experience in oilfield/construction/industrial settings.
• Own set of tools and ability to service a wide equipment range.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• CDL license is a plus; clean driving record is required.

About the Role

As a Field Service Technician at REIC Rentals, you'll be the go-to technical expert ensuring our rental equipment performs at its peak-whether in our Morgantown, WV-based shop or out in the field. You'll play a hands-on role in supporting mission-critical operations across oilfield and construction job sites, performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of equipment. What You'll Do

• In-shop and in-field work supporting equipment maintenance and repairs
• Install, service, and repair a wide range of rental equipment, including gas and diesel-powered machinery, heating and cooling systems (HVAC), and light towers
• Travel locally to customer sites to troubleshoot and resolve issues across oilfield, construction, and industrial environments
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs in both shop and field settings
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings
• Maintain detailed and accurate service records using mobile and digital tools
• Deliver professional, courteous customer support, including training operators on proper equipment use and care
• Collaborate with peers and elevate complex technical issues when necessary
• Always uphold the highest safety standards on-site and in the field

Schedule & Travel:

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. This position requires travel throughout Western Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, with occasional travel to South Plainfield, NJ, and Delaware. Overnight travel is required as needed, along with participation in a weekly on-call rotation.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of experience as a field technician in oilfield, construction, or heavy industrial settings
• Your own set of tools
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair gas, diesel, HVAC, hydraulic, and lighting systems
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on experience across a diverse rental fleet
• Comfortable working in harsh weather and physically demanding environments
• Ability to read technical documentation, schematics, and apply diagnostic tools
• Excellent communication and customer service skills-you can clearly explain technical issues and build trust with customers
• CDL license is a plus
• Clean driving record (MVR will be reviewed)
• Must be 21+ years of age
