Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking an Industrial Field Technician/Driver to install, service, and commission rental HVAC systems in our Marysville, OH shop and on customer sites. You’ll diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and repair equipment to keep customers running.

The role requires 3+ years of field service experience, the ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints, strong diagnostic skills, and a safety-first mindset. Occasional travel and on-call duties are part of the job.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field technical service experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics & blueprints.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair skills (diesel and gas experience preferred).
• EPA Universal, CDL or HVAC certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and commission rental HVAC systems in the shop and in construction/industrial settings.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
• Test, calibrate, and verify systems for proper functionality and code compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to meet deadlines.
• Provide clear communication and exceptional service to customers.
• Complete installation reports and service documentation accurately.
• Travel to customer sites, support on-call rotations, and adapt to seasonal overtime.

What You'll Do

As an Industrial Field Technician/Driver, you'll be responsible for installing, assembling, and commissioning rental/temporary heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in the shop AND construction and industrial settings-in ALL weather conditions. Safety, quality, and customer satisfaction will always guide your work.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
• Test, calibrate, and verify systems for proper functionality, efficiency, and code compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to meet project deadlines.
• Provide clear communication and exceptional service to customers regarding system operation.
• Complete required installation reports and service documentation accurately.
• Deliver hands‑on customer support, including training users on proper equipment care.
• Travel to customer sites (a lot of drive time), support on‑call rotations, and adapt to seasonal overtime as needed.
• Always put safety first‑on the road, in the shop, and on customer sites. Ensure all work meets company standards, safety regulations, and local building codes. Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in safe, efficient condition.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (with on-call rotations and overtime opportunities; weekends as needed) Minimal overnight travel

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of FIELD technical service experience, strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and apply electrical schematics & blueprints.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair skills (diesel AND gas mechanic experience preferred, electrical, and hydraulic a plus).
• Great communication skills-you can explain technical issues clearly to customers and teammates.
• A safety-first mindset and proven track record of working responsibly in shop or field settings.
• EPA Universal, CDL or HVAC certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain)
• A clean driving record to be verified through MVR
• Must be 21+ years of age
