Job summary

STERIS - Commercial Operations is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, repair, and refurbish surgical instruments at Customer sites and regional labs. You will perform ultrasonic cleaning, buffing, shaping, sharpening, hinge work, and brazing as part of core restoration tasks.

You will also complete Preventative Maintenance Inspections, provide end-of-day documentation, and handle invoicing and work orders.

Qualifications

• Soldering and hand skills used for instrument refurbishment.
• Experience with automotive repair fundamentals and grinding techniques.
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and their restoration processes.
• Hands-on repair technician experience in a field or shop setting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and refurbish surgical instruments at Customer sites and regional labs.
• Perform core restoration tasks: ultrasonic cleaning, buffing, bending, sharpening, hinge work, brazing.
• Complete PMI and maintain end-of-day documentation and reports.
• Travel daily to designated territory and provide timely service and invoicing.
