Job summary

Performance Health is seeking a Service Technician in San Diego, CA to join our field service team. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and safety inspection of rehabilitation medical devices and exercise equipment, with daily travel within the territory.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years’ service experience, valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds. Company van, laptop, and cell phone are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience as a medical equipment or fitness equipment service technician.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Electrical/hydraulic and mechanical experience.
• Ability to travel daily within assigned territory.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs, calibrations, and maintenance in accordance with specific manufacturers, Federal, State, and BRH guidelines.
• Assess and prepare necessary equipment, tools, and materials to complete installations and service visits efficiently.
• Manage the exchange and return process of electrotherapy devices and/or accessories requiring repair or replacement.
• Verify equipment is fully operational and meets safety and performance standards before completing service visits.
• Communicate effectively with the Service Coordinator and/or Service Manager to provide updates, flag issues, and ensure seamless service delivery.
• Accurately complete service documentation, maintain inventory, and uphold vehicle and tool organization standards.
• Actively contributes to continuous improvement by sharing insights, identifying recurring technical issues, and recommending process enhancements.
• Support the broader Service team as needed, including cross-functional collaboration on special projects or initiatives.
• Performing other duties as assigned
