Berry Tractor & Equipment is a full-service heavy equipment dealership. Our equipment includes brands such as Komatsu and BOMAG. Berry Tractor maintains a large rental fleet and provides repair and maintenance services on-site or in our well-equipped shop.

Berry Tractor & Equipment is seeking an experienced Field Service Diesel Technician to join our team of skilled technicians. If you are a confident, experienced heavy equipment mechanic with a clean driving record, apply today!

Shift: Monday-Friday Day shift

Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical service to equipment.
  2. Read job orders, observe and listen to equipment in operation to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures.
  3. Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
  4. Inspect protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on trucks, and make adjustments as needed.
  5. Tag all warranty parts and returns to the designated area.
  6. Attend training classes and stay updated with factory technical bulletins.
  7. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to enhance customer satisfaction.
  8. Produce quality work demonstrating pride of workmanship.
  9. Keep your workspace organized and clean.
  10. Strive to meet production objectives set by management.
  11. Follow manufacturer policies and procedures related to labor operations, documentation, and torque specifications when performing warranty repairs.
  12. Perform any other duties assigned by the Service Supervisor or management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two-year technical school graduate preferred.
  • Minimum one year of fleet or dealership experience in a diesel shop required; 2-5 years preferred.
  • Strong team player with a commitment to customer service.
  • Self-motivated and professional demeanor.
  • Experience with high-pressure common rail fuel systems, exhaust after-treatment, electrical troubleshooting, and hydraulics.
  • Possess a personal inventory of hand tools necessary for repairs.
  • Heavy equipment or agricultural experience is a plus.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical.
