Job summary

Abel Womack is seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to work in New Bedford, MA and surrounding areas. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing Raymond battery-powered lift trucks and related material handling equipment, with extensive training and a company-issued service vehicle.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, read schematics, and communicate professionally with customers and team members. A valid driver's license and tool set are required.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical equipment with focus on quality, efficiency, and cost-effective maintenance.
• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus).
• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
• Ability to communicate regularly with team members, parts reps, tech specialists, dispatch, lead techs, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repair Raymond battery-powered lift trucks and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges with customers.
• Submit electronic work orders using a company tablet.
• Represent Abel Womack with professionalism and excellent customer service.
