Job summary

Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site work at customer sites, focusing on installation and basic commissioning of IEM equipment in data center or industrial settings.

The role includes attending project meetings, troubleshooting, and coordinating with managers to resolve issues. Training is provided in Jacksonville, FL for ~4 weeks, with travel and flexible scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent; 8+ years in manufacturing, data center or field service with commissioning of LV/MV switchgear (Level 3).
• Must be a team player with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Willing to travel up to 75% and work evenings/weekends when needed.
• Experience with switchgear and electrical controls systems.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams (Level 3).

Responsibilities

• Attend project meetings with contractors and clients.
• Install/modify electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Perform basic testing of modified assemblies.
• Commission switchboards, control panels and power products.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and networking equipment.
• Coordinate with PM or facilities to resolve issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and field installations.
• Provide technical product support.
