Overview

Field Service Technician – Level 1, 2 or 3 at Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM).

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN – Level 1, 2 or 3

Purpose Of Position

IEM will provide training on our equipment and commissioning process in Jacksonville, FL for approximately 4 weeks. You will perform hands-on field service work at customer sites, focusing on installation of components and subassemblies and basic commissioning of IEM equipment, primarily in data center or industrial applications. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Attending project meetings as required, including coordination with contractors and clients.
Installation and modification of electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies (e.g., panelboard interiors, circuit breakers, bus bar, switchgear section doors and subpanels, addition of control components, power cabling and control wiring).
Performing basic testing of modified assemblies (visual, etc.).
Performing basic commissioning of switchboards, control panels, and power products.
Troubleshooting of electrical circuits and networking equipment.
Coordinating with Technical Project Manager or manufacturing facilities to resolve product or commissioning issues and identifying additional field resources or replacement parts as needed.
Performing preventive maintenance, field installations, and modifications to existing equipment.
Providing technical product support.

Education And Experience

A technical degree or equivalent and 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, data center or field service role with commissioning of LV/MV electrical switchgear (required for Level 3).
Must be a team player with strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Ability to travel (75%). Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed.
Experience with switchgear and electrical controls systems (required for Level 3).
Military experience (Plus).
Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams (required for Level 3).

Compensation

The hourly range for this role is $36.30 - $52.80 per hour, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
