Description
The National Security Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Field Service Technician at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This role supports basic and applied research, development, testing, and evaluation efforts to assist the U.S. Warfighter in maintaining battlefield dominance during chemical and/or biological weapon events.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include monitoring toxic chemicals, setting up and maintaining chemical and biological filtration systems, including HEPA and HEGA systems. The technician will work independently or with Principal Investigators to meet daily objectives, author test plans, reports, SOPs, and develop technical solutions through collaboration and analysis. Effective communication with team members and clients is essential.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2-6 years of experience. Alternatively, 10+ years of relevant experience without a degree. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance. Experience with filter leak test and chemical monitoring equipment is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MINICAMS, DAAMS, gas chromatography systems, and supporting U.S. Army test and evaluation organizations is preferred.
