Description

The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Field Service Technician to work at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) facility located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the DEVCOM CBC mission. In this mission, we support DEVCOM CBC in basic and applied research, development, testing, and evaluation efforts to support the U.S. Warfighter and ensure our Warfighters maintain battlefield dominance during a chemical and/or biological weapon event.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monitoring toxic chemicals, equipment setup, systemization, operation, and maintenance of chemical and biological filtration systems including HEPA and HEGA systems.
• Working independently or with Principal Investigators to achieve objectives, authoring test plans, reports, and SOPs.
• Developing technical solutions requiring collaboration, deep analysis, and understanding of impact on end-products.
• Communicating with internal and client project teams.

Basic Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or a master's with 2-6 years, or 10+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
• Experience with filter leak test equipment and chemical monitoring equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MINICAMS, DAAMS, and gas chromatography systems.
• Experience supporting U.S. Army test and evaluation organizations.
