Description
The National Security Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Field Service Technician at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This role involves supporting research, development, testing, and evaluation efforts to assist the U.S. Warfighter in battlefield chemical and biological defense.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include toxic chemical monitoring, equipment setup, operation, and maintenance of chemical and biological filtration systems such as HEPA and HEGA. The technician works independently or with Principal Investigators to meet daily objectives, authoring test plans, reports, SOPs, and developing technical solutions through collaboration and deep analysis. Effective communication with internal and client teams is essential.
Basic Qualifications
Experience with MINICAMS, DAAMS, and gas chromatography systems. Support experience with U.S. Army testing organizations is preferred.
Additional Requirements
BS degree in a technical field with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or master's with 2-6 years; or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Must obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance. Experience with filter leak test equipment and chemical monitoring is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MINICAMS, DAAMS, and gas chromatography systems supporting Army testing organizations.
Additional Details
Posting date: June 12, 2025. The position is expected to remain open for at least 3 days. Pay range: $72,150 - $130,425. Compensation depends on experience, education, and other factors.
