Department/Role Type: Service, Full-Time

Reports to: Regional Service Manager

Location: Remote (100% travel, plus periodic-frequent overnight stays)

As a Service Technician level III, you must be organized, an effective communicator (both written & oral), and qualified to provide services in calibration/instrumentation and preventative maintenance. This role may be under the tutelage of our Training & Technical Manager for advancement and work with cross-functional internal teams.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Support service operations by providing calibration and/or preventive maintenance of general laboratory and process equipment.
• Repair of HEPA filtered devices, including Biological Safety Cabinets, Clean Benches, Chemical Fume Hoods and Cleanrooms.
• Additional services are to be provided as trained for, including but not limited to: Decontamination, Laboratory Equipment Repair and Calibration, Balance and Scale Calibration.
  
  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Technical College graduates and PMEL are preferred.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Computer literate
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office suites.
• Understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• 3 Years in metrology, calibration, and/or HVAC.
• Familiar with ASQ, NSF Ansi 49, or CETA RCCP – Certified preferred.
• Adept in electronics & electrical.
• Proficient in 6 of the following:
• Balance
• Centrifuge
• Density Meter
• Oven
• Bath
• Fridge
• Spectrophotometer
• Chemical Fume Hood
• Controlled Environment
• Volumetric/Coulometric titration
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Positive attitude and excellent work ethic

• Ability & willingness to use various modes of transportation (including but not limited to air transportation).
• Capability of driving extensively in and around the states of LA/TX to customer sites.
• Strong technical/mechanical aptitude.

Physical Demands & Work Environments

• Continually required to stand.

• Frequently required to sit.

• Continually required to utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
• Frequently required to lift/carry equipment w/weight ranges between 6-50 lbs.
• Occasionally required to lift 25+ lbs. overhead.
• Frequently required to push or pull tool cart up to weight of 200lbs and equipment of 1,000 lbs. with assistance.
• Occasionally working extended periods of overhead work while standing on a ladder.
• Frequently work around fumes, airborne particles with proper PPE
• Frequently exposure to infectious materials
• While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderately loud.
