Job summary

WASH is seeking a Service Technician to repair washers and dryers at customer sites across the Louisville region. You will disassemble, inspect, and repair mechanical and electrical components, reassemble, adjust motors, and replace parts to keep equipment running.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Effective English communication skills (oral and written).
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.
• 3+ years of mechanical experience and electrical knowledge or training.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and move 200 pounds +/- with dolly.

Responsibilities

• Service washers and dryers at apartments, laundromats, hotels, athletic facilities, etc.
• Disassemble machines and examine mechanical and electrical parts.
• Reassemble, adjust pulleys, and lubricate moving parts.
• Replace worn or defective parts and adjust motors.
• Clean and wash parts.
• Advise dispatch on equipment replacements.
• Drive a company vehicle to and from work locations.
