Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers across the country, primarily at client sites in the Pittsburgh area. You will install, maintain, and repair capital equipment, troubleshoot complex systems, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and the Machine Build team at the Pittsburgh headquarters.

Office travel is extensive (up to 80%), with opportunities to work closely with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or 3+ years of hands‑on field service, mechanical maintenance, repair, or related experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% and work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers involving installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of capital equipment.
• Travel to customer facilities to install new machines, diagnose equipment issues, and develop repair solutions.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, service requests, and equipment concerns.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades, repairs, and improvements.
• Coordinate materials, parts, tools, and resources and order components as needed.
• Assist the Machine Build Department with machine assembly at the Pittsburgh headquarters.
• Communicate customer concerns and service needs with Sales, Engineering, and other teams.
• Document service calls, repairs, parts used, and other information in Salesforce.
• Travel up to 80% to customer locations.
