Job summary

EBARA is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at customer sites in Bloomington, MN. Strong technical skills and customer-facing abilities are required for success in this role.

Responsibilities include on-site service, preventive maintenance, diagnostics using manuals, and safe, compliant operation. Prior semiconductor/vacuum tech experience and high school electronics training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or AS in Electronics, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of work-related experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
• Strong customer relations skills.
• Working knowledge of semiconductor and/or vacuum technology.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at customer sites or service centers, including preventative maintenance and startups.
• Interpret operation manuals to determine root causes of tool failures.
• Document preventative maintenance, downtime, issues, and reports for product movement and justification for on-site service.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures using maintenance checklists and protocols.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and communicate effectively with customers about issues and timelines.
