Job summary

Tennant Company is hiring a Field Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain Tennant equipment at customer sites across the region. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and combustion engine systems, while managing scheduling and communications with customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and policy compliance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing combustion engines (LP, Diesel, Gas).
• Experience repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Use of hand and power tools, diagnostic devices; PC and email proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair complex problems in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and combustion engine systems on Tennant products and competitors' models.
• Own your territory: plan daily schedule, contact customers, and maintain open communication on service expectations and billing.
• Create and maintain records of service activities and reporting documents.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of company vehicle, tools, parts, inventory, and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, technical support, field service, and other technicians to support success.
