Cates Control Systems in Webster, TX is seeking a Field Service Technician to solve customers’ business problems using technical expertise and excellent service. You will support field service calls, start-up and preventive maintenance of motor control equipment, and generate field reports.

Role involves up to 80% local travel and on-call duties; a technical associate degree is preferred, with strong communication and problem-solving skills valued.

Qualifications

Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years troubleshooting industrial electronics.
Experience with automation equipment installation and applications.

Responsibilities

On-site service for motor control products (AC/DC drives, power electronics).
Start-up, preventive maintenance, and repair services.
Document field reports and expense reports, submit electronically.
Communicate with customers to obtain feedback and address issues.
Share on-call duties and ensure customer satisfaction.
Wiring and layout of control panels in-house or on-site.
