Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II in Dallas, TX (Garland area) to install and support wireless communications systems. You will be the heart of service delivery, delivering high-quality customer solutions and hands-on technical expertise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment in the 2-way radio field.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation across frequency bands.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Knowledge of battery backup systems, base stations, repeaters, and related RF hardware.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass drug/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Create Mid-Level Programming Codeplugs (12+ Channels, Trunking, Multiple Zones).
• Install and service Wireless Communications Equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems, DAS, BDA, CCTV).
• Recommend equipment and hardware meeting customer requirements.
• Travel regionally and/or overnight; on-call hours may be required.
