Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems in St. Paul, MN. You will work on mid-level programming, multi-channel codeplugs, and regional travel where needed.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in service tech roles with 2-way radio expertise, strong RF knowledge, and the ability to read schematics. On-the-job training is provided, with extensive career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment in the 2-way radio wireless/communications field.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation across frequency bands.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Create Mid-Level Programming Codeplugs (12+ Channels, Trunking, Multiple Zones).
• Install and Service Wireless Communications Equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems, Dispatch Consoles, BDA/DAS, Microwave, CCTV).
• Recommend equipment and hardware to meet customer requirements.
• Some regional travel and on-call hours may be required.
