Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems in Chantilly, VA. You will work on RF equipment, provide excellent customer service, and design practical solutions for customer needs.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of service tech experience, strong RF theory, and ability to read schematics. Regional travel and on-call hours may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years service tech experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola/Kenwood/ICOM devices.
• Strong two-way radio theory knowledge and RF propagation across bands.
• Ability to read schematics/diagrams; DAS/BDA system knowledge a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; driving record acceptable; on-call travel required.
• R56 CET certification a plus; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create Mid-Level Programming Codeplugs (12+ Channels, Trunking, Multiple Zones)
• Install and Service Wireless Equipment (UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz; DAS/BDA; CCTV)
• Recommend Equipment and Hardware Meeting Customer Requirements
• Some regional/overnight travel and on-call hours may be required
