Job summary

Komline seeks a field service/maintenance technician to install and commission new machines at customer sites. You will modify PLC programs (Allen Bradley and Siemens), perform onsite repairs, and run preventive maintenance on instrumentation, controls, and drives. Strong reading of schematics and robust troubleshooting skills are essential.

You will also generate service reports, advise customers by phone, and support technical instruction at sites. Travel to customer locations is required.

Qualifications

• A.A. degree or equivalent in electronics/manufacturing tech; practical experience accepted.
• 3–5 years in maintenance/repair in an automation environment.
• Understanding of process control: 4–20 mA loops and VFDs.
• Experience with pumps and piping systems desired.
• Able to modify control logics and read wiring diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Installations and start-up of new machines and lines.
• PLC program modification (Allen Bradley and Siemens).
• Onsite repairs and testing to ensure compliance with specs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation, controls, motors, drives, and PLCs.
• Office work: reports, spare parts lists, and customer advice.
