Job summary

Motion is seeking a Field Service Technician II to perform on-site service, installation, diagnostics, and repair for hydraulic systems and related equipment at customer sites. The role includes 24/7 on-call responsibilities and collaboration with customers, peers, and management to ensure high satisfaction.

The position requires a technical degree with 3–5 years of related experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate shop equipment safely in varied environments.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and 3–5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work effectively with customers, peers and management to resolve client issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site services for new and existing clients, including on-site emergency repairs, equipment servicing and upgrades on a 24/7 on-call basis.
• Install, diagnose, repair and support equipment installed at customer sites.
• Diagnose problems, assess scope, document findings, and decide on repairs or part replacements.
• Conduct technical analyses of product implementations and modifications per customer specs.
• Inform customers about service status and recommend enhancements, upgrades, or repairs.
• Work under general supervision to perform moderately complex repairs and installations.
• Ensure compliance with local/national regulations and Motion safety standards.
• Provide technical training and support to customers on system operation and maintenance.
• Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
