Job summary

Baxter Healthcare in Shelbyville, KY seeks a Field Service Technician II to ensure patient readiness of medical devices, perform cleaning, disinfection, function checks, and minor repairs, while supporting 24/7 delivery and service for customer accounts.

You will operate a fleet vehicle, work in hospital/service settings, handle heavy equipment, and maintain Baxter safety and quality standards, with on-call duties and strong teamwork across the field service team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• DOT physical card preferred (assistance provided).
• Experience with FDA regulated products preferred.
• Experience in customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
• Ability to troubleshoot devices and repair any malfunctioning components.
• Ability to use the appropriate tools in making required adjustments and repairs.
• Ability to provide on-call coverage, up to 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits.
• Ability to load, unload, and remove medical products, weighing up to 1680 pounds.
• Generate service revenue and complete activities required under service contract.
• Safely operate box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000 pound truck.
