Job summary

Adaptec Solutions LLC seeks a Field Service Technician II to keep automated material handling systems running across warehouses and factories. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, lifts, hoists, and related equipment, often working directly at client sites.

After one year of service, opportunities for advanced training (PLC, FANUC robotics, shelving systems) and career advancement become available, with a focus on safety and customer communication.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED or equivalent required; vocational/technical degree preferred.
• Strong electro-mechanical reasoning ability.
• 5 years mechanical and 2 years electrical troubleshooting/repair.
• Rigger, Millwright or Machine Builder experience acceptable.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and repair drawings.
• Use hand tools, measurement instruments and power tools; forklift/aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver's license, clean record; able to pass DOT regulations.
• Able to attend emergency calls, including overnight travel.
• Willing to travel outside home territory as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and managers.
• Basic personal tools; organization of field reports with service software.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on electro-mechanical material handling equipment.
• Respond to emergency calls within territory; travel may be required.
• Mechanical work including fabricating, welding and painting.
• Maintain machinery at client sites according to schedule.
• Use multi-meter to diagnose electrical issues and verify power.
• Document all work in E-360 service reports and forms.
• Communicate issues and timelines clearly with clients and leadership.
• Follow safety guidelines per OSHA and customer requirements.
• Work independently and elevate questions to leadership when needed.
