Job summary

PowerBuilt Material Handling Solutions, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician – Level 2–3 to install, commission, troubleshoot, and support custom automation and material handling systems at customer facilities across North America. You will lead on-site activities and coordinate resources while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with field installation, startup, troubleshooting, and field documentation.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead larger installations and coordinate onsite resources.
• Proven leadership and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, commission, and troubleshoot automation equipment per project specs.
• Operate PLC tools, HMI screens, AMR interfaces, and robot teaching software.
• Perform wiring, conduit, cable tray, and mounting installations.
• Provide daily updates, document punch lists, and submit field changes.
• Coordinate scope changes, tools, rentals, and manpower as needed.
• Manage onsite teams and ensure safety compliance.
• Mentor junior technicians and promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Train customers on operation and maintenance; build strong relationships.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and future work.
• Maintain clean work area and uphold safety and integrity standards.
• Travel up to 65%, including weekends, as required.
