Job summary

Hach is seeking a Field Service Technician I to deliver high-quality customer service, perform preventive maintenance, and calibrate instruments at customer sites. The role covers municipal and industrial settings such as drinking water facilities and refineries, with daily travel within the territory.

Requires a HS diploma or equivalent, mechanical aptitude, and 2+ years of field service or customer-facing experience.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is a must and routine diagnostics/repair experience helps.
• 2+ years of field service and/or customer-facing roles preferred.
• A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to rent cars/hotels as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation on customer sites.
• Provide positive on-site customer experience and act as the primary technical contact.
• Work across municipal and industrial settings including water treatment facilities, refineries, and food & beverage plants.
• Submit accurate service reports affecting billing, inventory, and instrument history.
• Follow safety practices and complete administrative tasks related to service visits.
