Job summary

Baxter Healthcare is hiring a Field Service Technician I in West Sacramento, CA. The role involves preparing products for patient use, cleaning, disinfecting, checks, and minor repairs on Baxter and non-Baxter products.

You will support 24/7 service delivery and on-site customer visits, with a focus on safety and patient impact. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 65 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Obtain and maintain a DOT physical card required.

Responsibilities

• Move and inspect medical products within Baxter service centers, healthcare facilities, and private homes.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate any needed repairs; perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance.
• Provide on-call coverage, up to 24/7 including weekends and holidays.
• Navigate electronic devices to enter or retrieve information.
• Demonstrate Baxter product usage to hospital staff and caregivers.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and 5S practices.
• Safely operate a company vehicle from cargo van to large trucks.
• Lift and carry up to 65 pounds with proper safety procedures.
• Wear PPE and complete safety/compliance modules.
