Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in California is seeking a Field Service Technician I to prepare products for patient use, clean, disinfect, perform function checks, and carry out minor repairs on Baxter and non-Baxter medical devices.

You will move and inspect equipment across service centers and customer sites, troubleshoot repairs, and provide on-call coverage including weekends and holidays. The role requires lifting up to 65 pounds, wearing PPE, and maintaining a safe 5S work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• DOT physical card required.

Responsibilities

• Move and inspect medical products in service centers, facilities, and homes.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate repairs; perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance.
• Provide on-call coverage, including weekends and holidays.
• Operate devices to enter or retrieve information.
• Demonstrate how to use Baxter products to staff and caregivers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment with 5S practices.
• Safely operate a company vehicle from a cargo van to a 26,000 lb truck.
• Lift and carry up to 65 pounds with proper safety procedures.
• Wear PPE and complete safety/compliance modules.
