Job summary

Chemtek, Inc. in North Carolina seeks a Field Service Technician I to install, maintain, and repair Chemtek spray and delivery equipment at customer sites.

The role blends shop work, regional service, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and about 30% travel. You’ll work independently on installations, diagnose pumps and basic electrical components, deliver PavePro products, perform preventive maintenance, and keep accurate records.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years mechanical experience with equipment maintenance, pumps, plumbing, automotive repair, agricultural equipment, or manufacturing.
• Ability to complete routine mechanical repairs independently.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Install chemical storage, pumping, spray, and delivery systems at asphalt plants and other customer locations.
• Complete standard equipment installations with limited supervision.
• Diagnose and repair pumps, hoses, valves, filters, fittings, plumbing, and basic electrical components.
• Deliver PavePro chemical products in totes, drums, or concentrate containers.
• Perform scheduled preventive-maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Maintain accurate work orders, inspection reports, parts records, and customer-service notes.
• Communicate job status, equipment problems, and recommended repairs to customers and Chemtek management.
• Maintain assigned tools, spare parts, service vehicle, and safety equipment.
