Job summary

Chemtek, Inc. seeks a dependable technician for assembly, installation, service, and delivery of PavePro systems. The role involves working with equipment in our shop and at customer sites, with routine preventive maintenance and on-the-road service.

Ideal candidates have experience with pumps, plumbing or automotive repair, a valid driving record, and the ability to work independently outdoors. CDL is not required but helpful.

Qualifications

• Two years of safe driving experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to operate a heavy-duty pickup or service truck and tow a trailer.
• CDL not required but a plus.
• Enjoy fixing things and helping people.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test spray systems, tanks, and related equipment.
• Deliver PavePro chemical products in totes, drums, or concentrate containers.
• Safely unload and transfer products using approved pumps, hoses, and procedures.
• Install chemical storage, pumping, and spray systems at asphalt plants.
• Perform preventive maintenance: check hoses, clean filters, inspect pumps, tighten fittings, replace worn components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical problems.
• Maintain service records, delivery documentation, and vehicle parts inventory.
• Keep the service vehicle, tools, and equipment clean and organized.

Chemtek is a family-owned American manufacturer that has served the asphalt industry for 50 years. Our PavePro products and chemical-delivery systems help asphalt producers operate more safely, efficiently, and reliably.

We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined technician who enjoys working with equipment, driving, solving problems, and helping customers. This is not simply a delivery-driver position. You will help assemble equipment in our Yanceyville shop, install and service systems at customer locations, and deliver the products that keep those systems operating.

What You’ll Do

• Learn to assemble and test spray systems, tanks, and related equipment.
• Deliver PavePro chemical products in totes, drums, or concentrate containers.
• Safely unload and transfer products using approved pumps, hoses, and procedures.
• Install chemical storage, pumping, and spray systems at asphalt manufacturing plants.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including checking hoses, cleaning filters, inspecting pumps, tightening fittings, and replacing worn components.
• Diagnose and repair common mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical problems.
• Maintain service records, delivery documentation, and vehicle parts inventory.
• Keep the assigned service vehicle, tools, and equipment clean and organized.

What We’re Looking For

• Someone who loves fixing things - Is a natural mechanic wants to learn more about industrial equipment.
• Someone who likes helping people.
• Some experience with equipment maintenance, pumps, plumbing or automotive repair
• At least two years of safe driving experience.
• Ability to operate a heavy-duty pickup or service truck and tow a utility trailer.
  
• CDL license is not required, but always a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
• Ability to work independently and follow written safety procedures.
  
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work occasionally on elevated industrial platforms, ladders, and catwalks.

Schedule

• Full-time, hourly position.
• Primarily Monday through Friday.
• Some early starts and overtime may be required during the paving season.
• No routine overnight travel; generally home every night. Occasional overnight travel required.
