Job summary

Quest International is seeking a Field Service Technician I to support customers in the Detroit area. You will travel to customer sites to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electro-mechanical equipment.

This hands-on role requires reading manuals, using a digital multimeter, and completing service reports. Travel up to 80% including overnight stays is expected, with overtime opportunities and full-time, temp-to-hire employment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on technical experience.
• Experience troubleshooting or repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical equipment.
• Able to travel up to 80%, including overnight travel and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Location: Detroit, MI – Field-Based
Pay: $24.00–$29.00 per hour + overtime
Employment: Full-time, temp-to-hire
Travel: Up to 80%, including overnight travel

About the Position

Quest International is looking for a Field Service Technician I to support customers throughout the Detroit area and surrounding territory.

This is a hands-on field service position. You will travel to customer locations to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electro-mechanical equipment.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems
• Replace failed parts, components, and assemblies
• Use a digital multimeter and other diagnostic tools

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Willing and able to travel up to 80%, including overnight assignments
• Flexible for overtime and changing customer schedules
• Willing to complete the required Human Performance Test
