Overview

Our client is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, start up, train, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical and electronic systems at customer sites. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and provide expert phone support, with frequent overnight travel (domestic and occasional international).

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment at customer locations
• Install equipment/production lines; perform acceptance testing and validation
• Execute preventive maintenance and advise on service intervals
• Program equipment using approved utilities and tools
• Train operators, maintenance, and engineering personnel on new equipment
• Communicate with customers before and during visits to scope and resolve issues
• Maintain tools/parts, complete documentation accurately, and track time/materials
• Follow all safety regulations and PPE requirements; attend service training as needed

What You’ll Bring

• Strong electro-mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with computers and computer-controlled equipment
• Clear written and verbal communication; self-starter who works independently
• Comfortable with hand/power tools and electronic test equipment
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license

Travel & Mileage

• 90–100% travel (approx. 50% flying / 50% driving)
• Company pays $0.70/mile when driving; overnight travel required (some international)

Total compensation: $80,000–$90,000 (Base $70,000–$80,000 + per diem valued at $10,000–$14,000; company phone; on-call pay: $100 every 8th week + $600/yr)
