Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking an experienced HVAC/R technician to install, maintain, and repair facility systems across multiple Pilot locations. You will handle preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and food service equipment in the Burlington, NC region.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, EPA Universal 608 certification, and at least 3 years of commercial HVAC and cooking/refrigeration equipment experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA Universal 608 certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of recent commercial HVAC service experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience repairing commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment.
• Valid state driver’s license with a positive driving record.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA guidelines (OSHA 10 training provided).

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests; troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment per warranty and industry standards.
• Communicate repair status with supervisor and store management.
• Submit same-day work order notes and ensure correct charge allocations.
• Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels.
• Maintain service vehicle and tools to company standards.
• Diagnose and repair fuel dispensers and fuel security systems (training provided).
• Inspect interiors/exteriors for safety and maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on rooftop HVAC units, split systems, ice machines, fryers, and other food service equipment.
• Ensure repairs comply with Pilot Company regulations and safety rules.
