Job summary

Innovate is seeking a Field Service Technician in New Jersey to install, service, and repair industrial equipment at customer sites. This role involves hands-on electrical troubleshooting and field work, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will read schematics, work with VSDs and drives, diagnose control systems, and provide technical support to customers. HVAC experience is a plus, and candidates should be comfortable working independently out in the field.

Qualifications

• Field service or industrial maintenance experience required.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
• Experience with VSDs, drives, control panels or PLC/relay logic.
• HVAC experience is highly desirable but not essential.
• Comfortable working independently at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair industrial equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and pneumatic control systems.
• Work with 3-phase motors, transformers and circuit protection.
• Troubleshoot control panels and boards.
• Work with VSDs and AC/DC drives.
• Read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Troubleshoot sensors and feedback devices.
• Perform preventative maintenance and other mechanical tasks.
• Assist with field installations and customer communication.
