Job summary

4Rivers Equipment in Durango, CO is seeking a Field Service Technician/Heavy Equipment Technician to keep customer machines running smoothly.

You will perform maintenance, repairs, diagnostics on all types of heavy equipment, including engine, hydraulics, transmissions, and provide mentorship to apprentices. This is a full-time role with growth opportunities and a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• John Deere experience preferred but not required.
• Vocational or technical degree or equivalent training.
• Strong communication and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy equipment.
• Engine rebuilds, hydraulic, and transmission work as part of daily tasks.
• Maintain accurate service records of hours, serial numbers, and repairs.
• Mentor junior technicians and participate in training.
• Ensure safety and proper operation of all tools and equipment.

Position Summary

Are you ready to join the 4Rivers Equipment dream team? We're on a mission to keep our customers' equipment running like a charm, and we need highly skilled, self-motivated, and efficient Service Technicians to make it happen!

Your Epic Duties

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on all types of heavy equipment.
• Engine rebuilds, axle reconditions, hydraulic valves and pump wizardry, and transmission repairs are all in a day's work!
• Remove, disassemble, clean, repair, recondition, assemble components or parts.
• Keep meticulous records of equipment hours, serial numbers, complaints, causes, and corrections.
• Be a mentor and guide for other technicians and apprentice technicians.
• Attend company sponsored training to level up your skills, knowledge, and expertise.
• Keep our service trucks and all company assets in top-notch shape.
• Always put safety first - whether you're operating power tools, lifts, welders, or cranes.

Education and Qualifications
