4Rivers Equipment is seeking a Field Service Technician/Heavy Equipment Technician in Durango, CO. You will perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy equipment, including engines, axles, hydraulics, and transmissions, while keeping precise service records.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED; vocational/technical training is preferred. You will mentor junior technicians and participate in ongoing John Deere-related training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy equipment.
• Engine rebuilds, axle reconditions, hydraulic valves, pumps, and transmissions.
• Remove, disassemble, clean, repair, recondition, assemble components.
• Keep meticulous records of hours, serials, complaints, causes, corrections.
• Be a mentor for technicians and apprentices.
• Attend company training to level up skills and knowledge.
• Keep service trucks and assets in top condition.
• Always prioritize safety when using tools or lifts.

Position Summary

Your Epic Duties:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on all types of heavy equipment.
• Engine rebuilds, axle reconditions, hydraulic valves and pump wizardry, and transmission repairs are all in a day’s work!
• Remove, disassemble, clean, repair, recondition, assemble components or parts.
• Keep meticulous records of equipment hours, serial numbers, complaints, causes, and corrections.
• Be a mentor and guide for other technicians and apprentice technicians.
• Attend company sponsored training to level up your skills, knowledge, and expertise.
• Keep our service trucks and all company assets in top-notch shape.
• Always put safety first – whether you’re operating power tools, lifts, welders, or cranes.

Education and Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
