Job summary

4Rivers Equipment LLC in Longmont, CO is seeking a full-time Service Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, quote and repair electronic equipment at a fast-paced worksite. You will maintain parts inventory, communicate clearly with customers and team members, and stay current with vendor-required training.

Ideal candidates possess an associate degree or 2+ years in electronics repair, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field or two years of related experience.
• Prior experience in electronics repair is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills including Microsoft products and ability to learn diagnostic/repair software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, quote and repair equipment.
• Maintain inventory safety stock levels ensuring necessary parts are on hand.
• Timely communication with all parties involved throughout the repair process.
• Stay current with training required by suppliers.
• Present yourself in a professional manner.
• Handle walk-in customer orders and product questions.
• Maintain tools and workbench; keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Assist with store maintenance and stocking as required; assist with warehouse logistics as needed.
• Manage equipment for inbound and outbound transactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar, or two years of experience in a related position.
• Prior experience working in an electronics repair position viewed favorably
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Computer skills to include Microsoft products, and ability to learn and use diagnostic and repair software supplied by vendors
• Self-motivated

Working Conditions:

Repair Technicians frequently sit for long periods of time doing repair work. Must be able to move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Repair Technicians work around hazards such as electrical, mechanical, and power equipment. They frequently have risk of exposure to chemicals, used oil, spent antifreeze, parts cleaning solvent, volatile hydrocarbons, battery acid, etc. Proper PPE must be used at all times.
