Job summary

Ohio CAT in Richwood, KY is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Caterpillar machines in the field. You’ll work from a service truck, performing diagnostics on engines, drive-trains, electrical and hydraulic systems to keep customers' equipment running.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a diesel/power equipment tech program, 3+ years of industry experience, and at least 5 years of hands-on repair experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical school program (2+ years) focused on diesel or power equipment systems.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on mechanical repair experience with diesel, earthmoving, or industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment in the field, including Caterpillar engines and drive-train components.
• Perform routine and complex repairs, inspect and maintain equipment, and rebuild components for optimal performance.
• Service air conditioning, maintain detailed service records, and collaborate with fellow technicians while following safety protocols.
