Job summary

CTI - Gas Detection Specialists is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site startup, calibration, light installation, and repair of gas detection systems, traveling to customer sites nationwide. The role includes training plant personnel, producing PSM reports, and maintaining safety documentation while adhering to CTI’s values of people, quality, and customer focus.

The position requires 21+ years old, a personal vehicle, and ability to travel up to 80% of weeks with overnight

Qualifications

• Understand electronic circuit and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, relay logic, and industrial control systems.
• Experience using a digital multimeter and troubleshooting 120VAC and 24VDC circuits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and Acrobat PDF.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair gas detection systems and sensors.
• Translate system operation scope and user functions to plant personnel.
• Process reports for safety documentation to meet OSHA standards.
• Contact manufacturers or distributors for maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Determine best long-term repair solutions and translate CTI products into actions.
