Job summary

CTI is seeking a Field Service Technician to operate remotely from the main office, traveling to customer sites for start-up, calibration, light installation, and repairs of gas detection systems. You will train plant personnel on system use and prepare PSM reports.

Expect a typical week with hotel nights and substantial travel across the United States. The role requires strong electrical/electronic skills, PLC/relay knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot while maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• Understand electronic circuits and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, relay logic, and industrial control systems.
• Experience using a digital multimeter and troubleshooting 120VAC/24VDC circuits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and Acrobat PDF.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair gas detection systems and sensors.
• Translate system operation scope and user functions to plant personnel.
• Process reports for safety documentation to meet OSHA standards.
• Coordinate with manufacturers/distributors to maintain/calibrate equipment.
• Determine best long-term repair methods and translate solutions using CTI products.
