Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and repair natural gas compression equipment across an assigned territory. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficient operation, with field-based work supporting uptime for midstream partners.

Ideal candidates will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct start-ups and commissioning in remote field environments while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with engines, rotating equipment, heavy machinery, or natural gas compression.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, service bulletins, and operating information.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently in outdoor, remote, and sometimes harsh field environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on natural gas compression equipment, including engines, compressors, coolers, and associated components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct engine overhauls, compressor rebuilds, and component replacements as needed.
• Complete start-ups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities safely and efficiently.
