Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician, AMS to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair natural gas compression equipment in Texas. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in compressor maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and experience with Caterpillar engines. The role requires in-person field work, safety adherence, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of compressor maintenance or related industry experience.
• Caterpillar G3600/G3500 natural gas engine experience preferred.
• High safety standards and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs job activities per Kodiak procedures and objectives.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose compressor system failures at all levels.
• Optimize compression equipment performance.
• Complete required area reports and actions per procedures.
• Communicate parts and inventory needs with Supply Chain to maintain stock levels.
• Prioritize repair work amid competing demands.
• Assess repair/replacement needs and identify best solutions.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure unit health.
