Job summary

Hodge is seeking a Service Technician to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot material handling equipment including forklifts, with emphasis on hydraulic and electrical systems. You will work at customer sites, perform diagnostics, and document service histories to support continuous improvement.

You will follow OSHA safety standards, use PPE, and collaborate with sales teams to identify service needs while driving timely, high-quality repairs and parts management.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
• Effective communication skills to work with customers and sales teams.
• Attention to detail for accurate service history documentation and inventory tracking.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools, computer-based systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accountability.
• Willingness to stay up to date with new technologies, equipment, and industry advancements.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and structural issues using diagnostic tools.
• Maintain battery charging stations and related equipment.
• Provide maintenance and repair services at customer locations as needed.
• Run computer-based diagnostics to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Communicate with customer and sales teams to identify service needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Document work orders, service history, and parts used for tracking and reimbursement purposes.
• Track purchase orders and manage parts inventory.
• Stay current with evolving industry technology and best practices.
